Hi friends it’s me here, Adele.
First of all I want to say that I know it is hard to share about yourself and to open up to others about who you are. But, I also think sharing our testimony is one of the greatest and most powerful gifts we have. So, I am doing by best here to open up and share with you guys because it is important. I pray that God uses this platform to inspire and encourage women in their pursuit of creating the best homes for themselves and for their families. If by sharing my testimony or life chronicles here can help it will be worth all of the work.
I recently realized that many woman struggle with feeling confident in their homes. There can be so many things that block you from fully committing to your homes. I am sure the reasons are different for us all. But, I believe it is truly important for us to love the homes we are in. Whether you are in a rental you hate, an apartment you feel trapped in, or a home that you just can’t seem to figure out.
What ever your situation is, I want to help you find ways to improve your view of your home.
Okay, so back to why I am here. I have a true love for home decor and using it to make beautiful spaces that make my family and I feel comfortable in our home. I know it is “just” home decor, but when you use it the right way it completely brings a feel to a room that you can’t get any other way.
I have many goals for this blog, but one of the main ones is to help you feel like you have the ability to decorate your home. So here on the blog I share “how to” blogs with step-by-step tutorials on how to decorate a space. I also share affordable decor option ideas because I don’t think money should limit the way you feel about your home.
Which brings me to my next love, which is thrifting. I am a #chronicthrifter and I love finding items at thrift stores that I can bring into my home. Some items don’t need any revamping, but others need a little help. So I also share all about those fun projects here on the blog. These are what I call Thrift Flips.
Another goal I have here is to support other woman especially small shop owners. I know how hard it is to start a small shop, and to get your name out there as a creator. So, I love to support small shops. Whenever I receive an item from a small shop I always feel so honored to be representing the company because I know how much time and energy they put into making the product.
Of course sharing my home always comes with little stories about my family, and about ways that God is growing me personally. I am blessed to have an amazing husband who has devoted his life to following Jesus Christ, he is a pastor and I am a pastor’s wife. We met at college, and have now been married for seven years. We have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Amelia, who is now six. (Still in full denial that she is six) We have been trying to conceive for five years now and we have been through several test and procedures. We finally found out I am not ovulating. Infertility is such a struggle and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. We have just recently started praying about adopting a baby. We live in a beautiful home. It is not our forever home, but I am working hard to make it feel like “home” for now. One project at a time.
This is our fourth home we have bought. We have flipped a couple homes, and loved every single minute of working on them. So that gave us some projects for me to blog about.
I just want to say thank you so much for allowing me to share about our home and about our lives here, it means so much to me and my family, and it is so much fun! It is so much fun sharing things about decorating that I love with you guys, who also love home decor and decorating. Also, thank you for making it fun!
