Let’s Take A Look At The Before
Before we go any farther, lets take a look at the before, click here to see the before. Then come right back so we call all see the transformation.
LNC Home Neutral Rug With Great Texture
The first thing I do when I go to style a space or give it a refresh is choose my color scheme. Usually, I try to find a piece of decor to inspire my color scheme. In this case, here in the kitchen, I drew inspiration from my new LNC Home rug! This rug, the Gray Medallion Rug, caught my attention right away when I saw it on the LNC Home website, which I will link here. It caught my attention for several reasons. One reason being the neutral palette it has of white, gray, black, and a softer gray, it has all of the beautiful neutrals that I love so much. The next reason was the texture in the design it has on it, it has the neutrals perfectly spaces out all through-out the design and really draws your eye into it! I love how the neutral palette here really allows my wood and copper or brass pieces to really pop against it. So, I found the perfect size to fit our kitchen, and it is just over-all the perfect rug for this space. Their rugs are super high quality and stain resistant which is definitely needed in our kitchen area so it is easy to clean. I love the 1.3″inch pile height so it is comfortable for our feet as we walk on it, and I am thankful that it is shed and hassle-free, too! I will link LNC Home’s website here again so you can go fit the perfect rug for your space.
Marble Backsplash
Once I knew that we would be going for a more traditional look here in our kitchen from our inspiration of the rug, I thought it was time to update the backsplash. I loved our vinyl peel and stick backsplash tiles, they worked so well! I wanted more of a farmhouse/traditional feel so I went with this marble basksplash. Guess what!! I did this backsplash all by myself! This was my third time installing tile backsplash. The process isn’t hard, but it is a process. I love the marble tile backsplash so much, and I love how fresh and clean it makes the whole kitchen feel.
LNC Home Sconce Light
I really wanted some more light here in our kitchen so I added this sconce light from LNC Home. I am going to be sharing more about this light and why I chose it in an upcoming blog. I love how this Simple Wall Sconce really draws your attention up and completes the space above our sink. LNC Home has so many really beautiful farmhouse inspired light fixtures. I am going to be sharing more about them in an upcoming blog, but I want to link them here, if you want to check them out.
Open Shelving
With keeping the farmhouse/tradition style in mind I redecorated our open shelving. If you are wanting to install open shelving I shared how to do it yourself in this blog. I found these two pretty floral prints at a recent thrift haul when we went thrift shopping together over on Instagram. I have saved the thrift shopping haul in my highlighted stories, here. Then I just added some other decor I already had, or found thrifting with you guys. I stuck to a very neutral color scheme to keep with my style. I did however add a little bit of color from the floral prints because I wanted them to pop more.
I am so in love with the farmhouse/traditional style and love how clean and fresh it feels. I hope you love my new kitchen as much as my family and I do. Changing spaces up every now and then is always nice and reminds you just how much you love the home you live in!
