Five Day Home Decorating Challenge
Alright friends, we all need something fun and dare I say beautiful to look at right now. So, I have put together a five day home decorating challenge called #blissfullyhomechallenge over on Instagram. This “challenge” is for everyone to join, and it is to inspire you to simply use items that you already have in your home to dress up a space! I have put together a list of five spaces to decorate. I hope this will inspire you to get creative and style your home. Feel like you can’t participate in all five days? No worries, feel free to participate in the days that work for you. I completely understand that there are dishes to be done, dinners (cough*breakfast and lunch and snacks . . . ) to cook, animals to take care of, rooms to clean, toys to pick up, etc. I know, the list goes on. We have all been serving our families so much right now, that it can be hard to do something simple to fill our own cups. So, take ten minutes out of your day and be creative and inspired from this list. Also, lets not do it alone. Lets invite some friends to join us!! And, don’t worry, I will be here everyday helping you out and giving you ideas here on the blog, and also on my Instagram page @homechronicles. I have also asked a bunch of my talented friends on Instagram to join me and I will tag them daily on my stories or in my feed post so you can make sure to check out their shares to get even more inspiration.
I Want To See Your Spaces
When you share for the daily challenge either in your stories or on your feed tag me @homechronicles in your photos on Instagram or Facebook. Also, for this challenge we are going to use the hashtag #blissfullyhomechallenge When you share about the challenge feel free to tag some of your friends in your photos. I think it will be extra fun if we all get involved!
I seriously can not wait for this challenge to begin, and for this opportunity to invest our time into our homes in such a beautiful way!
Day One- Thrifted or Repurposed Item Displayed
I love thrifting and repurposing items so much. There is something so fun about the joy of the hunt and the thrill of the find. You seriously never know what you are going to find when you walk into a thrift store. I recently did a Master Bedroom Refresh and I love that I got to use a lot of my recent thrifted items.
Thrifted Items
I have several thrifted items here in this space, and a lot of them have a lot of texture to them. Adding texture to a space gives the space so much texture. Here, I have added the mismatched chairs, some of the glass bottles on the mantle, the floral prints, the wood accordion rack, the wicker plant holder, and the vase holding the plant, and the cabinet.
Repurposed Items
Other than thrift stores the Facebook marketplace can be a great spot to find new furniture pieces. Here in this space I got the wood shutters, the table, and the fireplace mantle. You can find great furniture pieces for such an affordable price on the Facebook marketplace!
Antique Shop Items
I love looking around antique shops to see what goodies I can find. Here in this space I found the blue and white striped vase, the white window, and the medicine bottles.
#Blissfullyhomechallenge
I can’t wait to see your #blissfullyhomechallenge shares! Make sure you tag me so I can see it. I will be sharing a bunch of the challenge shares in my stories, too!
Pin this to save it for the rest of the week!!
