I have been wanting an outdoor sitting area for awhile now, and I finally created one for my family and I to use. I went with a “garden party” theme and shopped my home to make it come to life. Okay, I did buy this new rug that was on a major sale at Lowe’s and I did receive this amazing 10 foot umbrella for an Instagram collaboration. For the details on the umbrella please go to my highlighted videos on Instagram. On the videos there you can also see the details from the tablescape I created. I know sometimes it’s just nice to see everything in a video, but I wanted to share here on the blog too, to share a little inspiration.
Alright, here is the behind the scenes of this tablescape. For the tablecloth I used a lace bed skirt. For the bench I used a ruffled window valence. For an added touch of texture I put a real tablecloth on top of the bed skirt and I love the fringe detail it adds. To add some texture and comfort I grabbed some pillows. Fringe and ruffles were my go-to ones.
I found these adorable daisy printed plates at the thrift store a couple weeks ago and I just think they are the most adorable plates. The print on them reminds me of the wall paper my grandparents have in their guest bathroom. So, it brought a sense of nostalgia to the space.
You can’t have a garden party theme without having some flowers. My hubby was sweet and bought these for me. They add a sweet touch of color to the space.
The puppies and I really enjoyed blogging in this space during the afternoon, and then that evening the whole family enjoyed our dinner on the patio. It’s always nice to get some fresh air! I hope this blog post inspired you to create a little special place for you and your family to hang out in. Don’t forget to shop your home!

I would love to sit on your back patio and have tea and crackers with cheese! This is so beautiful, Adele. I love it! I don’t know how you have the motivation and energy to stay at this for all these years. You literally AMAZE ME! I am so proud to be your mama. You are a kind and generous person who loves God and her family. I miss you all so much. This Coronavirus needs to end so I can see all of you again.
