Facebook Marketplace
You guys, I love the facebook marketplace so much. I love a good find. So many people are getting rid of furniture that is so beautiful. I love finding the good ones! I usually look for a piece that looks like an antique and has some really pretty details. For example, this hutch was only $40 and they delivered it to me. If you are looking for a hutch go to your facebook marketplace and search “hutch” and see what you might find. Don’t be afraid to ask them to deliver your new furniture. Most of the time people just want to get rid of the furniture.
The Hutch
You guys, look at this beauty! It is so beautiful. I was instantly drawn into the little scroll details on the front of it. The leg detailing is also really beautiful, I love any piece that has legs on it. I could just see this hutch painted with a distressed white. I knew the details would just pop out if I gave them a little touch of white paint.
Painting The Hutch
I went with a nice basic white paint and just literally smudged it on the hutch. I wanted it to look really beautifully distressed. I love how you can just see the details so beautifully now. The white paint just makes everything look so distressed, I love that look. It looks very French Farmhouse-y.
Dressing It Up For Christmas
Amelia and I made a dried orange garland and it fit perfectly on the top of our new hutch. I had a fun real greenery garland I made when I hosted the Christmas party at our church last year.
I have loved styling this hutch over the last year, I thought it would be fun to share every way I have styled it since I painted it last year. I loved how it looked for Christmas, but I equally loved these looks.
