Spring is here and there is just something about wanting a fresh start. My bedroom felt like it could use some refreshing touches! Here is phase one of our Master Bedroom Spring Refresh! I seriously can’t get enough floral prints in my home, I just love them! Especially when it comes to wallpaper. The wallpaper just makes the perfect backdrop to any decor you want to use in the room. Once you have a gorgeous wallpaper up that has a print that you love, it changes everything. I instantly loved spending time in our room and this desire of wanting to make our room somewhere special came over me. So, I completely moved around our bedroom furniture. Our bed went to the opposite end of the room and I decided to make an office space with all of our new found space.
Phase One of the Refresh
Phase one started with completely switching our room around. We moved our bed to the other side of our room so we could create an office space here in our room. I have been wanting an office space to use for blogging and all the things. Our room is one long space so it was easy to have two separate spaces in here.
Milton & King Wallpaper
To really make this space pop I decided to cover this wall with the Milton & King wallpaper in the design, Aux Fleurs. I spent so much time going through the Milton & King website to decide what print would work for this space. As soon as I saw this Aux Fleurs I was sold! I just love it so much! I used to be intimidated by the thought of hanging wallpaper, but after doing the process now three times I can say it is not hard at all! It is a process, but it is a quick process. I made a video sharing what I used and how I used all of the tools to put up this beautiful wallpaper over on Instagram. I saved the video under my highlighted section. I will also link it here. I will also link the Milton & King website, here, so you can go and see just how many beautiful patterns they have! I am so glad I went with this Aux Fleurs, I will link it here. I can not speak enough about the quality of the Milton & King wallpaper, it was so nice and easy to work with! The Milton & King company is so friendly and I have loved working with them!
A Quick Way To Update A Space
Wallpaper more than anything, I feel like, updates a space so quickly! As soon as I installed my Aux Fleurs wallpaper it made this space pop! It created the exact look and feel that I was going for with this space. If you are looking to update a room or a space I highly recommend thinking about adding wallpaper. If you are nervous about doing wallpaper, I also recommend pushing past that fear like I did because the results are amazing! Go for it! I will link the Milton & King website here so you guys can go choose which design you would like to use to update your space!
Styling My Office
I knew I wanted to style my new office space with my favorite things! I love having little collections of my favorite decor pieces. I was sick of having them stored away due to nowhere to display them at so I grabbed them and styled them here. Like my collection of vintage blue ball jars. They make me so happy when I see them now. I also wanted to style this space with everything that I love and what inspires me. I recently went to an antique shop with Amelia and found this snowflake glass antique window. So I layered it was another chippy window I already had. This mantle is such a fun place to style because it has two built in shelves. For the bottom shelf I added my bottle collection (Anytime we travel I try to find a new antique bottle at a local antique shop wherever we are at), a few of my favorite floral frames, and a simple plant!
Fusion Mineral Paint
I love refinishing pieces that I have or find. I had this cabinet that I thought would fit perfectly against the wall here in my office so I painted it using my new Fusion Mineral Paint in the color, Goddess Ashwaghanda. I love this color so much, and I now have a new favorite paint company! The Fusion Mineral Paint was incredible to work with! Thankfully, this cabinet does fit perfectly here against the wall. I layered some shutters and this beautiful flower scroll. Then I put my ball jar collection on it. I love having this space for organizational purposes. Using the Fusion Mineral Paint I also gave this table a quick distressed coat, I love how it turned out. I found this table through the Facebook Marketplace, it was such a good deal! Can you see the little touch of cane on the bottom of it!
Eclectic Mismatched Chairs
I thought it would be so fun to add some mismatched chairs to this space. My whole family uses this space so we needed lots of chairs to be available! I love antique chairs and can’t get enough of them!
Overall this was such a fun DIY bedroom makeover. I really love watching a room become completely transformed!
