You guys, let the packing begin! No worries though we have so much time. You know, 18 days or so. I wanted to start packing weeks ago but then I had to get a tooth filling that ended up turning into a month and a half worth’s of pain. The filling didn’t go well so I had to have a root canal, and I am finally on the mend from that. Tooth pain is no fun at all. I am so glad to be on the mend and finally have some strength to start packing.
When I pack I always start with the kitchen and my most valuable items. At the behind of packing you still have tons of packing supplies so you tend to wrap things better. At least that’s how I am. So I get all of the valuables out of the way so I don’t have to worry about them towards the end of packing when I just want to shove everything into a box and be done with it.
Amelia was the real MVP today and packed her toys and some books for me like a champ. She also packed up all of my accent pillows. She had such an amazing attitude, and was so willing to help. It was super sweet. I love having her home for the summer!
I am always super inspired by flowers. These peonies are from my mother-in-law who has a whole row of them. They just scream Indiana summer to me. I thought these guys were done blooming and went to throw them out when I saw little buds still popping up, it was the most pleasant surprise. In the midst of everything going on it was a nice little surprise.
This breakfast nook has been one of my favorite rooms in this house. I love that I can see the whole downstairs from this one area. This is where I wrote a lot of my blogs and where I really “get things done” at. This little breakfast nook has had several different looks to it, but I’m loving the farmhouse simplicity of this look.
These are the four farmhouse bowls I found at Goodwill for $1 a piece. They have a subtle blue stripe on them that matches perfectly with this pitcher I picked up when we were in Branson. I’m hoping to display them on some open shelving soon. This candle from Wood Wick smells absolutely amazing and I love the light pink color it is. Listening to the cracklings wick is just the best.
Thank you guys for stopping by the blog today to see what we are up to! Happy Friday!!
