Do you find yourself not enjoying your spaces lately? Do you need a little spring refresh? Yeah, I did too!! Here are 5 Easy Steps On How To Add Spring To Your Decor. Give your room a refresh with these ideas.
It might seem a little silly to be sharing tips on how to add pops of spring to your home since we are still in the middle of winter, but trust me. This will give your home some life back into it. As soon as I added these simple pops of spring my whole home felt so much warmer and inviting. I didn’t even realize that it was missing that touch of warm so badly until I added it and felt the warmth.H
First Things First, Add Greenery
I can’t stress this enough. Greenery is so important when you are trying to spruce up an area. It can be fresh or faux. Either one will do the trick. Just that pop of fresh green adds so much life to a space. Here in our room I added some live Lemon Spruce topiary’s on each side of our bed. I also added two pothos plants. One at the end of our bed on our seven foot bench, and one on the dresser.
Second Thing- Add A Fresh Candle
Adding a candle to a room instantly adds warmth and just ultimately brings that cozy factor to a space. I love candles that have a clean citrus scent to them. So when I received this candle from The Cultivated Candle Co. in the scent Citrus and Patchouli from their new Hygge candle line, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
Add A Subtle Print
I found these two pillows on sale and completely fell in love with the subtle print it has, and the subtle colors it has on it. I used the colors in it to inspire me for the rest of the room. You will notice little pops of subtle greens and pinks throughout my room. Like this stool I painted green, and in this spring print here there are a couple pops of color. Adding those little touches of color made a big impact on this room. It made it feel like a completely different room. Even though my base colors are still very much neutral, it gave the room some life by adding the subtle colors.
Add Textures
Adding textures to a room is crucial for any space in any season. It adds interest to a space and really draws your eye in. I added these two shutters on the sides of our headboard that I just got from our local antique shop. I also added the large tobacco basket and the beautiful “I can’t help falling in love with you” sign from my friend Emily from her shop, the Wooden Walls Co. Another item I added were these two new pillow, they add a soft textures. For another soft texture I added this fuzzy little rug, and the pom pom blanket on our bench. Greenery also adds a lot of texture. All of these items just add something for your eye to look at.
Add Floral Photo Prints
I have several floral prints that I found at the thrift store last spring. I wrote a blog on some thrift shopping tips here if you would like to read it. They are scattered all over our bedroom to just add little pops of spring. The colors in the prints and also the fact that there are flowers in most of them really bring the spring feel to life.
I really hope that these fives ways on how to bring pops of spring into your decor can help you bring some life into a room. They have really helped me here in our bedroom.
